With mild temperatures year-round, Medellín deserves its nickname, la Ciudad de la Eterna Primavera - the City of Eternal Spring. Colombia's proximity to the equator means temperatures vary little throughout the year and Medellín's elevation (1540m/5080ft), along with the shelter provided by the Andes, keeps the city cool.
Although there are no specific wet and dry seasons, January and February are usually the driest months, while more rain tends to fall from March to May and September to November.
