Foz do Iguaçu (Iguaçu Falls): Overview

Iguaçu Falls: wider than Victoria, higher than Niagara, lovelier than either.

Perched on the confluence of the Iguaçu and Paraná, just downriver from the incomparable Iguaçu Falls, Foz is the first port of call in the Tríplice Fronteira between Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina. A former frontier military outpost, construction and tourism have propelled its recent growth.
