Although the climate won't play a major part in your decision to visit Lake Titicaca or Copacabana, it's worth noting that nights can be very cold between February and November, and December and January can be rainy.

Copacabana hosts several major annual fiestas including Fiesta de la Virgen de Candelaria (early Feb), Fiesta de la Cruz (early May) and the biggest and best Bolivian bash, Bolivian Independence Day (early Aug). These are great parties and great times to visit, but they are also a time to be wary as muggings and robberies are common.

Weather

From February to November the climate around Lake Titicaca is mostly pleasant and sunny, but there's often a cool wind off the lake and nights can be bitterly cold. Most rainfall occurs in midsummer (December and January).
