Royal Oak Inn information
Lonely Planet review
Suffused with character, this old inn was the site of the French surrender in 1797 and the table on which it was signed takes pride of place at the back of the dining room. The pub has turned into something of an invasion museum, filled with memorabilia. Not only does the Royal Oak have an important place in Fishguard's history, it also hosts a popular live folk night on Tuesdays, when musicians are welcome to join in.
