We are visiting North Wales over the bank holiday weekend at the end of May, staying in Caernarfon for 3 nights (arriving on Friday so we have whole day Sat, Sun and most of Mon). We are thinking of visiting Snowdonia (probably by train, but maybe walking down) on one of the days and visiting Conwy on the way home on the final day. Apart from Caernarfon, Conwy and Snowdonia can anyone recommend the best places to visit in the area? We will have a car and we like picturesque towns and villages…

Hi,

My Fiancee and I are renting a cottage in Anglesey for a week over Easter, and we plan to do day trips from Anglesey each day, wondered what ideas people could suggest?

We love walking, and getting out and about into open wilderness, but wouldn't mind a couple of days exploring places like Abersoch or other suggestions.

We are from Manchester, so planned to stop off in Chester en route, done places like Beaumaris, Conway in the past. Any off the beaten track, hidden gems would be much…

Hello,

I am going to england/wales in june for TrailMarathonWales. I will have only two weeks, which I know is not alot of time. Would a week in London, then a week in and around Snowdonia national park be a good plan? I wouldn't mind fitting more in and spending only 4 days in London. Any recommendations? I would like to see castles, cute towns and countryside, maybe some seaside beaches. I generally like to walk around and look at things more so than museums. How many days is enough for Snowd

We are planning a 3 week driving tour of England in June, starting in the Lake District and ending in Cornwall. Hubby has just suggested including Wales in our itinerary!! As it is already quite full, we can only really spare 3 days to drive through Wales en route from Lake District to Cotswolds. I've been Googling for short itineraries but they are concentrated in one area. We realise this would only be scratching the surface of Wales, but wondered if there was a route that gets us from North…

So i've posted about transportation in Wales, which was very helpful, now I've found myself torn on whether I should try to stop in one of the villages in Snowdonia for a night or if I should go straight from the capital, Cardiff, to Caernarfon on the coast. I do understand that Wales in January typically means, rain, snow, wind and wasn't planning on doing the big hike up Snowdonia, but was thinking maybe just a easy walk on the trails that are in that area. Now i'm thinking it may just be…

Hi all,

I'm going to Wales in January with my boyfriend on our month long Europe trip and have done some research about where to stay and what not, but specifically in the lonely planet book I like to use the recommended guide on what to do if your there for 3 or 5 days, but have noticed that a lot of the time these travel guides kind of assume your driving. Is it fairly easy to get around Wales by train/bus? For instance I will be going to the capitol Cardiff then to Snowdonia and then to Caer

Hey everyone :)
I am 22 and I have travelled to Manchester quite a lot but usually I don't stay there.. I go to Chorley to visit my boyfriend. But every time I go I don't get to explore Manchester properly and I REALLY want to go down south to London, Bath.. It's hard because I want to explore but others don't have the time! I would love to have a group of gals whom can have a chilled night and also explore the historical places in Manchester aswell as just touring around the city.

I would…

Hi Everyone

I am in the process of organising a hen weekend for 20 girls in North Wales. Ideally we want to do something active during the day like canyoning or coasteering but I am struggling to find accommodation for 20people that isn't a bunkhouse.

Does anyone have any recommendations for holiday cottages in North Wales that sleep up to 20 people that would be good for a hen party weekend?

Thanks

Laura

Hi,
I am going to the Brecon Beacons in late November for three days and was wondering where the best place to base yourself is if you have no car?

I will be staying at a hostel in Abergavenny for a couple of days anyway (birthday party), and then want to spend three more days somewhere in the general area.
We are keen to do a lot of walking, and would like to be able to walk to selection of places to have dinner ideally.

Thanks!
