Depends what you want. Porthmadog is a nice touristy harbour / seaside town. But if you want cultural heritage etc you would be better…

Caernarfon castle is definitely worth a visit, its very imposing and pretty big. As kids we used to visit that area, and saw all the castles…

You can't get from Conwy to Harlech by train - well you can but it means going to the moon and back. It's a mixture of train and bus.…
