Getting there & away

Arriva’s bus 5/X5 runs from Caernarfon (30 minutes, every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday, hourly Sunday) and from Llandudno (one hour, every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday, hourly Sunday).

The Snowdon Sherpa S6 route runs from Bangor to Capel Curig (20 minutes, three daily Monday to Saturday, one Sunday) and onto Llanwrst (90 minutes, two daily Monday to Saturday) for the heart of the national park.

Arriva bus 4/44 connects Bangor with Holyhead (one hour 10 minutes, every 30 minutes Monday to Friday, bi-hourly Sunday).

Bangor is also the terminus of Arriva’s Traws-Cambria bus X32 route to Aberystwyth (3¼ hours, bi-hourly) via Dolgellau (one hour 50 minutes).

National Express bus 545 is a once daily direct service to London (nine hours) running via Llandudno and Chester.
