Another large agency with multiple international offices, Teaching & Projects Abroad deploys armies of volunteers in hundreds of positions around the world.

Timing & Length of Placements

Placements can be from one to 12 months and you can move from one placement to another, if you wish. There are programmes all year round and departure dates are flexible. Try to give at least three months' notice.

Destinations

Their many destinations include Argentina, Bolivia, Cambodia, Chile, China, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Mexico, Mongolia, Nepal, Peru, Russia, Swaziland and Thailand.

Costs

The price tag for a one-month placement starts at about £900, which includes food, accommodation, comprehensive insurance and in-country back-up. International flights are extra.

Eligibility

Those from 17 to 70 are eligible.
