ATD Fourth World sends volunteers to work alongside families living in poverty throughout the developed and developing worlds and asks for a high level of commitment both in training and time spent abroad.
At least one year spent abroad. International volunteers depart in September as long as they've completed the three months of training. Apply giving at least one month's notice.

Accommodation is provided during the three-month training in the volunteer's home country and a stipend is paid monthly after the first month. International flights and accommodation are covered by ATD, but you need to pick up all other expenses.
Volunteers must be 18 and over. Applicants not from the UK, US or France should contact the programme for information about application and training criteria specific to their country of origin.
