Tour description provided by Intrepid

Observe the contrast between Vietnam’s urban and rural regions while taking in cultural highlights of the south. Negotiate the labyrinthine streets of Ho Chi Minh City on a morning walk, make a sobering visit to the War Remnants Museum and make your tastebuds swoon over lunch at a traditional Vietnamese restaurant. Head to the city’s outskirts to scramble through the infamous Cu Chi Tunnels before diving back into the fray at one of Ho Chi Minh City’s lively markets. Then for a welcome change of pace, jump on a boat and explore the meandering waterways, islands and fruit orchards of the mighty Mekong Delta.

Day 1 Mekong Delta
The Mekong Delta is the lifeblood of South-East Asia, and this fertile region within Vietnam is a maze of canals brimming with life, markets and tropical foods.
Day 2 Mekong Delta/Ho Chi Minh City
With countless food stalls, restaurants, museums and markets, the busy streets of Ho Chi Minh City have something for everyone to enjoy.
Day 3 Explore Ho Chi Minh City
Formerly known as Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City is an exciting and dynamic city brimming with street vendors, cyclos, temples, shops and colonial architecture.
Day 4 Cu Chi Tunnels
Built over 20 years, the fascinating Cao Dai Temple is full of colour with ornate tiles and pillars, religious murals and gardens. A marvel of human survival, the Cu Chi Tunnels are a fascinating network of tunnels and rooms that helped the Viet Cong fight and survive the Vietnam War.
