The beachside pool is a beautiful place to while away some time digesting the meal, and there are some great cakes and pastries for inveterate snackers.

The Cyclo is a lively little place for an inviting blend of Vietnamese and continental dishes. The food is good value, the service is sharp; the only drawback is the roadshow of sellers that troop through each night, but it can be fun if you can live with the banter.

Part of a nationwide chain of soup stores, this place has an ultramodern open-plan kitchen. The speciality is, unsurprisingly, pho, but there is a selection of Vietnamese greatest hits on offer as well.

The hotpots are excellent at this pleasant little indoor/outdoor restaurant with linen tablecloths. While the cuisine is mainly traditional Vietnamese, you'll find some Chinese and Italian dishes.
