Looking to book trip to Vietnam Dec 2017 family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children age 13 and 11). Can anyone suggest a good company to book with or offer advice as to whats the best way to organise our trip. Only really travelled in Europe so would really appreciate any guidance anyone can offer to make it a successful holiday.

Good Morning everyone:
We are returning to Vietnam after 11 years and this time we are entering the country via Hanoi and working our way south. I am planning for 7 days in Hanoi and surrounds, but we think we want to spend time only in Hanoi with a trip to Sapa during that 7 day time period before flying to Hue. We have already had an excellent trip to Halong Bay. I hope you will help answer a few questions I have.
We are not into hardship any more after 15 years of travel throughout SEA and…
I'll be in Vietnam in July for like 18 days, and I was thinking to go north for a couple of days. I know it is rainy season, but I also read the rice fields are nice green at this time, so some rain doesn't really matter. I was thinking to go to Sapa of course, as everybody else does, but recently I read really nice articles/blogposts about Ha Giang, and it got me thinking. Right now I would prefer to go to Ha Giang, but: it seems like the best way to get around is by motorbike…
I have 1 month tourist visa issued in Cambodia.
Can this be extended in Danang ? And what would it cost to extend it ? If this is best done through an agency, does anybody know a reliable agency on Danang, Hoi An ?
I am trying to plan an 8.5 day trip to Vietnam. As it stands with this itinerary, Ho Chi Minh gets the short end of the stick. This was do to some reading of it being a little boring, and also I have been to many large asian cities.
If I fit in all three big cities, this is what I've come up with:
DRIVE to Ha Long Bay (4pm)
Ha Long Bay
FLIGHT to Hoi An (8am)
FLIGHT to Ho Chi Minh (9pm)
Ho Chi Minh
I don't know what the current problem is, but last night there was chaos at Saigon airport, as described by a friend returning from Australia to Nha Trang:
All went well on the travel front until we got to the domestic airport Saigon. We cleared customs and immigration within 15 minutes and rushed from the international terminal to the domestic terminal next door, where the checkin was PANDAMONIUM. A million people all wanting to leave that night. And they kept coming until after…
Hi! My husband and I (from Hong Kong) are going to Central Vietnam for 8 day in July. To make our itinerary more flexible, we have asked for the price of private transfers both from hotels and online quotation and found that the cheapest is through VM Travel so far. Would like to ask if anyone would like to join us to share the cost.

Will trains or local buses be traveling from Hoi An to Hue during this upcoming holiday weekend (or this upcoming Monday?) I know there is also a big festival in Hue so I'm not sure if that will affect transportation availability. I have an open bus ticket with Sinh Tourist and they have black out days from April 29-May 3 so I wasn't sure if all public transport would be the same.
Thanks in advance!
Wondering if anyone has any recent feedback on it? Am booked in October on the so called 'New' Livitrans from Hanoi to Danang, but it's hard to get a lot of info from them about what that means.
Not sure if to cancel and fly instead.
