Lonely Planet review

Set back from the harbour road, this grand old hotel has a peaceful setting and plenty of colonial character. However it is a government-run place so don’t expect snappy service, and the furnishings are looking a tad tired. Catherine Deneuve stayed here during the filming of Indochine. Breakfast is included.
