Hi guys I'm in Vietnam and going to go to Sapa tonight .. (Arrive tomorrow) I haven't booked any acomadation yet and am wondering if anyone has advise. I'm a 21 year old solo female traveler and am trying to be on a budget but safe. Thanks for helping! :)
Hello! I am a 30 year old female planning a solo 7 night trip in December/January to Northern/Central Vietnam and need some advice. I already know it's going to be chillier than other times of year (I live on a tropical island so the weather will be a nice change) and I know one week is obviously short, but I'm working with what I have here. This is what I'd LIKE to do, but looking for tips on transportation/not sure how realistic it is:
December 26, Arrive to Hanoi 10am, overnight in Hanoi
I'll be travelling Vietnam with a friend in january, and we would love to do some hiking and see a lot of nature, small villages etc. I've read a lot about hiking in the Northern provinces, but apparently the weather in the North isn't ideal in january. Does anyone have any tips for hiking in the southern part of the country, or other places that are pleasant in january?
I am a Vietnamese American. My whole family are living in America. For many years, I haven't gone to Vietnam. In the next 10-day vacation, my friends and I will decide to come Vietnam. I really like to learn much about cultures, lifestyle, cuisine of Vietnam. I'm keen on floating villages of Mekong Delta (South Vietnam). Also know about terraced fields in Sapa. 10 days are much enough to visit many places in Vietnam? Is May good time to visit? Any interesting features here (festivals, costume…
Hello! We're using about 3 days to get from Phu Quoc to HCMC. What would be the most interesting/beautiful/delicious places to visit while traveling through the delta? From what I've read, buses are the main way to get around the area--any tips for bus travel? Where would you suggest we spend our two nights?
I am planing a motorcycle trip from ho chi minh city to Angkor wat in Cambodia and then return to Phu Quoc island.
Is there anyone that did that trip on motorcycle and can give me some tips about what roads it is better to ride on?
Thank you very much!
I'm wondering if people had recommendations for tour operators for Halong Bay / Cat Ba etc. Our main criteria is we want to kayak for 4-5 hours. We've looked into a few tours and they seem pretty short kayaking trip at only 1-2 hours. Specifically, we want to limit our tour to 2 days 1 night including round trip travel time to/from Hanoi. I know it's tight, but mathematically it should be possible to get in more than 1 hour of kayaking, especially if we split it over 2 days!
We have 4 days and 3 nights open in our trip down the coast before we get to Hoi An. If you had your choice, would you spend it in Hue or Da Nang, or split it up and try to do both? (not my first choice)
Thanks for any thoughts!
I'm travelling with 2 of my sisters to Vietnam in March 2017 and we're having trouble getting started and agreeing what to do. We've had a couple of quotes from travel agents for tours for around $2800 each including airfares, accommodation, tours etc and some meals. I'm a bit reluctant to go on a tour with people we don't know but as none of us have been to Vietnam before I'm also a bit anxious about doing it ourselves. The prices we've been given seem a bit steep but it this a usual cost…
