I have a 22 hours layover at Noi Bai in late December, landing at 11am and continue on my trip the next day at 9am. With the new Visa law revised on Aug 25 for U.S citizen is $135(stamping fee) and I'm still not clear on the VOA cost itself (either $45 or $120). Still that is way too much for me and my brother to leave the airport. I did some research on it but I can't really find anyone posting spending day and night at T2 international recently. Thank you.
So this 11-12 hour ferry to Con Dao.... It sounds ominous, haha. Has anyone taken it? I'm planning to head to the islands soon, but I'm curious to hear how others experienced the journey.
Thanks in advance!
We are looking for a place to spend a tranquil month with a 4-year old and a 5 months baby in november. We are thinking a nice bungalow, not too expensive, preferably on a beautiful beach with clear shallow waters for bathing and teaching the 4 year old to snorkle :) Would Phu Quoc be an option?
Hello I read some article about Ba Ham Lake (Hồ Ba Hầm) and I know it is in Hạ Long where can’t find on google map

Wondering if anybody knows...tried to call the Airline in Moscow and that was useless...We would like to fly Aeroflot to Hanoi on October 1 or 2 and from where we are coming (Tel-Aviv) that means a huge transit wait of 19 hours! Is it possible to go for the day into Moscow? Are there sleeping facilities at the aiport if not? We are travellilng economy. If neither of the two then this is treacherous----would love any input you may have- thanks
I'm moving to Vietnam in November and would like to start learning the language. I will be in the south near HCMC and I have heard that Vietnamese in the south is different to that in the north. How different is it? I am trying to avoid learning Vietnamese from the north and turning up in the south and having to relearn a lot. so:
-How different is northern and southern Vietnamese?
- Can anyone recommend some good books/audio books or apps that teach southern Vietnamese?
- I have seen the…
I am aware that this info may well be on the FAQs but if it is, I can't find it.
Back in the 1990's, one had to specify the entry and exit points before one even arrived in Vietnam. Is this still the case?
Also, of lesser importance, when I was mountain biking along the Laos/Vietnam border last year from Xam Tai to Phonsavan, I met a lot of Vietnamese who were able to cross obscure and VERY interesting borders in that area. Are they open to foreigners? Are there more borders than what is…
