Did anybody travelled from Nanning to Hanoi by train since e-visa is available?

I would like to know if they accept the e-visa at the passport control of Dong Dang train station (Vietnam border crossing).

There is a list of “landports” at the visa application web site but “Huu Nghi” is listed only. However, it's a road crossing border station, although, it is also in the town of Dong Dang (where the railway station is located, a couple of km/s away).

I wrote an e-mail to the Embassy…

My husband and I are going to visit Vietnam for our honeymoon. At first, we plan to go to Bali, Indonesia but the price for this trip is unaffordable for us and then decide to choose Vietnam. We wanna stay a romantic but not too crowded place. We will only have one week and visit some places like beaches or island. Think about Halong, Nha Trang and Phu Quoc. Highly appreciate any suggestions.

Hi everyone,

What is the most affordable way to get a Vietnam 30 day Visa as a Canadian. I can't find any concrete info online. I know there are companies that you a pay an extra fee and they process the visa. Do you have to use one of them?

Any suggestions is appreciated!

i traveled in Romania and Albania in the past and found it to be an extremely depressing experience with the huge amount of homeless dogs/cats (and other mistreated animals) around. and dead ones too on sides of roads. is this going to be similar in Vietnam? if anything like those two countries, i guess i wont bother going. way too depressing. thanks..

We are a group of 4 couple friends on a vacation to Vietnam in Dec.Would appreciate details of good and reliable agencies who can rent a 11 or 9 seater mini van at Hoi An as well as Hue for local travel to My Son from Hoi An and the Van Moc tunnels from Hue. In addition, we may use the mini van to travel between Hoi An and Hue or vice versa.

Is the train journey between Hue and Hoi An more scenic or the road?

Hi everyone. I am in Malaysia right now and heard about Phu Quoc, Vietnam. It is raining season there now, so perhaps I will leave it for another trip. Nonetheless, the place makes me curious. The images make it the island look like a ‘must-see’ kind of destination. However, WikiTravel really speaks badly about it, saying it is dirty and now exploited with ugly resorts. Basically, WikiTravel says it lost its authenticity and charm and is now just a place for families and couples to stay at…

Hey,
my friend and I are planning to travel to China after Vietnam and we understand that we have to have pretty much our entire itinerary booked and organised before we even get the China visa. We just need to know that it's possible to get our visa either in Ho Chi Minh or Hanoi before we book our flights and accommodation etc.

All I can find at the moment is outdated information so any info helps thanks!

(we are not yet in Vietnam otherwise we would have asked the Chinese consulate/embassy)
