Ca Mau Market
This is a wholesale market and not really a place for people to shop. The animal life on display – such as fish and turtles – is cleaned, packed into crates, frozen and sent to Ho Chi Minh City by truck. It’s an interesting place to wander around – it certainly bears little resemblance to the supermarkets at home. However, animal rights advocates will not be pleased.

Cao Dai Temple
Though not as large as the one in Tay Ninh, this Cao Dai Temple is still a very impressive place and it’s staffed by friendly monks. The temple was built in 1966 and to this day still seems to be fairly active.

Pho Xua
The menu here is heavy on shrimp, seafood and fish dishes. It’s quite a stylish place for Ca Mau, set amid landscaped gardens.

Thanh Truc
Right next door to the Pho Xua, this is the place to sample a bubbling hotpot or the popular grilled meat dishes.
