Lonely Planet review for L'Etoile

This restaurant serves terrific French food and its all-day 'fast food' menu is good value. A set meal could be roast chicken with a choice of five sauces, a mini-salad and baguette.

    A lovely place with excellent service, good food, and reasonable prices. All in all, a delightful place to eat. A little bit out of the way, maybe - it's in District 3, but not far from the border with District 1. It's also a few steps off of Hai Ba Trung, in an alley, so it's easy to miss. Look for the Tous Les Jours bakery outlet. It's almost at the junction with Dien Bien Phu Street - name with a history; presumably called something else before 1975.

    I'm going to check "Good for 'Romance'" below, because it's a very pleasant place to go with your significant other, but don't; expect dark corners!
