Lonely Planet review

The Rex has recently had an overhaul, propelling it into the five-star bracket, although this may be in part down to generosity towards the government owners Saigon Tourist. Built in 1950, it was once the haunt of US army officers. Rooms are now looking much better than they were, and amenities include a pool and popular rooftop bar.

Our independent authors have visited Rex Hotel and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Ho Chi Minh City.
