Long the leading backpacker drinking den, it has relocated and gone ever-so-slightly more upmarket, but not much. A merry-go-round of punters and late-night action upstairs ensures its popularity.

    far too expensive for what they are compared to other places

    Food was OK, but terrible customer service

    Looked good from the outside. Food was ok, slightly more expensive than average. Had terrible customer service though:

    1 - Had different waiters and waitresses throughout the night who didn't communicate with one another, consequently there was much confusion about what we had and hadn't ordered
    2 - Waiter had no concept of what a cocktail was - asked which of the ingredients I wanted in my mojihoto!
    3 - Forgot to bring out cutlery and placemats before food
    4 - Waitress had trouble with English, which was fine, except she didn't attempt to clarify anything she didn't understand, which meant that...
    5 - One curry didn't arrive after half an hour (the rest of us were halfway through our meals by then), when asked, we were told by a waiter that it was being cooked by the chef but then another waitress arrived later and asked if the chicken or beef was wanted, i.e., it hadn't started being cooked yet
    6 -When we said it was too much to worry about and asked to cancel the order and just asked for the bill, we were told that the cost of the curry would come out of the waitresses pay if we didn't have it. Great way to make us feel guilty, and we ended up waiting for the meal to be cooked.
    7 - Other meals took a long while to come out, however it was quite busy so perhaps that was the reason
    8 - Meals were confused, we ordered two curries, when the first was delivered we asked it was the chicken curry, the answer was yes, but it wasn't, so we ended up accidentally eating each other's meals

    In short, we won't be going back there again!
