A highly atmospheric and enjoyable restaurant, 69 occupies a historic house and features heavy old wooden beams and subtle lighting. The creative menu is predominantly Vietnamese (try grilled fish mousse served on lemongrass sticks, or the green papaya and beef salad) and there’s a commendably decent vegetarian selection. Reserve one of the two balcony tables for a romantic setting.

    Two cute little RATS kept us company for dinner.

    claudiliomar does not recommend this,

    We were seated on the second floor and, in the middle of our dinner, 2 small rats ran across the room! The waitress saw this and smiled, saying it was normal! We refused to continue the meal and asked for the bill. We got no explanation and were only offered a ridiculous 5% discount.
