HCM-road Pleiku to Buon ma Thout

Hi guys,
Had anyone travelled recently the part of HCM-road (number 14) between Pleiku and Buon ma Thout? I read about heavy road constructions which makes it like a nightmare to travel on with the motorbike! But it seems like there is no other way going south from Pleiku.
Any help?
Save travels!

Hi all,

Bac Ha will be our last stop in Vietnam in a couple of weeks and wondered if anyone could give any info on getting to the Laos border from there?

From Lao Cai, does anybody know of the bus schedule to Dien Bien Phu/ Tay Trang? We would like to do this trip as quickly as possible but realise we may have to stop overnight in Dien Bien…

Hanoi to Tam Coc and Sapa

Landing in Hanoi on Feb 24 and we want to go to Tam Coc first, then to Sapa. What transport would be best?
Do we need to return to Hanoi or is there a direct way to get to Sapa from Tam Coc?

Being older travellers, some consideration for comfort is required, but cost is a consideration too.
Thanks for any advice ....

Visa on arrival - help

I am travelling from the UK to Hanoi
My flight first enters Vietnam at HCMC where I will only have 1 hour before my connecting flight leaves for Hanoi. This is all booked through the same airline.
Which airport do I need to put on my visa application?
If i have to do this at HCMC, will I have enough time to get my connecting flight to Hanoi?
Thanks

Travelling to Vietnam from USA - Can I get a Visa when I arrive?

Hello fellow travelers!
I am considering traveling to Vietnam this Summer, specifically Ho Chi Minh City during a little Asian getaway. My goal is to stay there maybe 3-4 nights tops.

Here is my question. I know foreign travelers need a Visa to travel there. But I learned that I could get a Visa on arrival in Vietnam and pay significantly less than trying to send in documents and my passport to the U.S. Vietnamese embassy to get a Visa. Would that be the best way to go? I would prefer to…
