Lonely Planet review
The absolute best deal in town and one of Margarita’s most pleasant stays is this German-run posada near the entrance into town (a 10-minute walk to the main beach). It’s a well-run place offering clean, neat rooms with good furniture. Three very private apartments are available, and there’s a well-equipped rooftop kitchen and terrace for everyone to use. Credit card advances are available if you’ve run out of money.

El Yaque, originally a fishing village on Isla Margarita, an island off the coast of mainland Venezuela, has become a popular wind & kite surfing destination since long time. here, you will enjoy not only virtually inexhaustible wind potential, but also the magic of the Caribbean.
The spot is over 1 Km long. The geographically advantages location of Isla Margarita and an air stream created between this island and the neighboring Isla explain the reliability and strength of the wind. Add the thermal conditions to the picture and you know why all the windsurfers you meet in El Yaque have a big grin on their faces.
