Getting there & away
International flights arrive at Vanuatu’s international airport, Bauerfield, 6km from Port Vila where there’s an ANZ ATM, an NBV bank, a café, and duty-free shopping (but it’s cheaper in town). If you haven’t organised accommodation, Vanuatu Standby Accommodation (www.vanuatustandbyaccommodation.com), in a booth at the airport, can arrange it on the spot.
Vila is a port of entry for boats. Yachting World (yachtingworld@iname.com) at Waterfront Bar & Grill contacts all authorities for yacht clearances, and collects the clearance fee (3000Vt). The authorities follow:
