Lonely Planet review for Tilly's

Built around Chantilly's sunny foyer. Drink in superb bay views, or take your meal, maybe baked poulet on crispy potato roast with papaya and lime dressing, out onto the private jetty. There's also a great tapas menu.

One of the best feeds in Port Vila

    mimandrew recommends this,

Dinner here was surprisingly good after some mediocre experiences around town. Not cheap, but nothing in Port Vila is. More surprisingly, the service was really good. Friendly of course, as with almost anywhere in Vanuatu, but also prompt and attentive. We ordered from the tapas menu, and it was great, tasty and filling. Be careful not to order too much, as the serves are a good size. Just a tip: if you order anything in Port Vila with Tempura batter, it's not that light crispy Japanese batter you expect. It's just normal batter. And be warned; they overcook all seafood. the scallops with bacon tapas is great, but slightly overcooked. the spring rolls aren't what you expect either, but very tasty. The desserts were also very good, I had a fig and ginger brulee tart that was just delicious. This was also the only restaurant that I found that served Vanuatu Bitter beer. I liked it much more than the Tusker which is a bit sweet for me. The bitter is light and crisp, and well, with that nice bitterness. Take a walk out on the jetty after your meal and see the little bats swooping on the insects in the light, and the tiny schools of fishes in the crystal water.
