Philatelists, rejoice. In the National Capitol Post Office Building, just west of Union Station, the kid-friendly Postal Museum has exhibits on postal history from the Pony Express to modern times. Gawk at mail planes, beautiful old stamps, Cliff Clavin’s postal carrier uniform (from the TV sitcom Cheers ) and special exhibits of old letters (from soldiers, pioneers and others).
