Gas lamps out front welcome tourists and locals into this spacious taproom for frosty brews, raw-bar delights and nightly dinner specials. Inside, the atmosphere is equally inviting: a wide bar, heavy wooden furniture and exposed brick provide equal parts retro-and-warm atmosphere.

    Well-Groomed Bar Food

    Right off the waterfront in Old Town, Alexandria, Virginia, this restaurant is not what you would call “in DC.” Despite that, it is one of the few restaurants in Old Town that has managed to weather the fickle climate of this hot tourist destination. The restaurant successful splits itself between being an old school, dark wood bar and an airy restaurant, and it provides food to match. The restaurant provides a good family friendly location and a variety of comfort and bar foods to suit your mood.
