The best pizza on the hill is served Chicago-style (deep crust) and pleasantly greasy. It’s almost next door to the right-wing Heritage Foundation, so depending on your politics, you can share some pie with Newt Gingrich or throw it at him.

    A love it or hate it place - good if you like thick crust.

    I grew up in DC, and Armands is one of my favorites. Several locations (best is in Tenleytown by American University), it's a love it or hate it place. Chicago style (thick pan crust), but a lot lighter (and not as good) as the best places in Chicago.
