Lonely Planet review for Moby Dick House Of Kabob

Why it's called Moby Dick is a mystery, but this is another hole-in-the wall joint serving tasty Persian food into the wee hours. The highlight is the pita bread, fresh and warm from the clay oven. Daily lunch specials are around US$7.

Still good, but losing some of its shine

    vivekw recommends this,

When I first went to Moby Dick back in the 1990s, it was stupendous. Fantastic food, superb value.

Since then, the prices have crept upwards. My beloved Combo #2, which used to be in the single digits, is now north of $16. And the food seems just a bit greasier and less cared for.

It's still a delightful meal, but there are probably other kabob places around town (eg on Rockville Pike, in Maryland) where you could do better if you had time and inclination.
