Lonely Planet review for Five Guys

From just three locations a few years ago, this hometown burger chain has grown to more than 20 locations across the city. The burgers are mouthwateringly juicy with just the right amount of grease and a dizzying choice of condiments, the fries done right. Sit at the long bar and fill up on peanuts while your food's being fried.

chain burger place. not unique to DC.

    megbrackett does not recommend this,

i'm shoked that rays hell burger doesnt rank higher than 5 guys. it's in arlington, va and totally worth the trip.

can we make some type of rule that chains not unique to an area are not included on these lists?

    Now an East Coast institution

    vivekw recommends this,

Five Guys is now more or less a regional chain. They're everywhere.

But they're fantastic. Freakin' fan-frickin'-tastic. The 'regular' burger is actually a double; if you're not starving, go for the 'mini' (normal burger). Get all the fixin's. Awesome burgers.

    mmm burgers!

    djebru recommends this,

ok, i know it's a chain, but omg! i'm from Australia, and the burgers are different down under. every time i go to DC, i head to five guys for a real, proper bacon cheeseburger. it's awesome. plus they have little buckets of peanuts. can't wait till i'm back there for thanksgiving!
