Without a doubt the most intriguing museum food on the Mall, the Mitsitam introduces visitors to the palette of five regional Native American cuisines, from the blue corn tortillas and slow-smoked barbecue of the southwest, to wild rice and cranberry-stuffed turkey in the eastern woodlands. Menus rotate daily, and mixed among the tourists are a fair few regular local office workers seeking an indulgent lunch.
