The Diner serves hearty comfort food, any time of the day or night. It's ideal for wee-hour breakfast scarf-downs, weekend bloody-Mary brunches (if you don't mind crowds) or any time you want unfussy, well-prepared American fare. Omelets, fat pancakes, mac and cheese, grilled Portobello sandwiches and burgers hit the tables with aplomb. It's a good spot for kids, too.
