When Lleyton Hewitt lost the Australian Open and then proposed to Bec Cartwright, he was staying here, which serves to highlight that this place is so plush it'll make you forget you had a lousy day at the office and put you in the mood to make a grand gesture.
The main lobby will bring back the golden age of Hollywood for many - you half expect Fred and Ginger to foxtrot past as you take in the acres of wood panelling, shiny surfaces and grand details. Rooms are more subdued, but elegantly so, and come complete with super-sized tubs (from Deluxe and up) and clever layouts that maximise your chance of seeing natural light. Should they not suffice, there's a lavish indoor pool that will have you convinced you've been reincarnated as a media mogul (if you're not one already), plus a great tennis court and whizz-bang business facilities.
