Set in a cozy Victorian row house, the Kalorama offers 11 flowery, antique-furnished rooms. Seven of them have private baths; the other four rooms share two baths. Some rooms are in the basement, so let them know when booking if you prefer a brighter upstairs unit. Breakfast is a self-serve affair consumed at a long communal table. In winter staff pours sherry or sangria in the evenings; in summer, it’s fresh lemonade throughout the day.
