Tucked on a shady residential street, the 26-room inn is known for its personalized service, fluffy linens and handy location just a few blocks from 18th St’s global smorgasbord. Inviting, homey rooms sprawl through two adjacent townhouses and a carriage house. The common areas have a nice garden patio, and there’s a general sense of sherry-scented chintz. Breakfast is DIY continental style. It’s a good seven blocks from the Metro, which can be problematic with lots of luggage.
