Named for native son Marvin Gaye, this bar-lounge has a great setting (in this case a clubby little back room and expansive porch that’s one of the best alfresco drinking spaces in the city), an excellent Belgian beer menu, Southern-French bistro fare and good DJs on weekends. But it gets packed some nights, with lines stretching around the block. Also, guys: no shorts or sandals on weekend nights.
