Looking Glass Lounge information
Here’s who you expect to find when you look through the Looking Glass: an old guy, one who’s owned his chair at the bar for decades, in a broad-brimmed cap and clutching a highball of Jameson as if to prove it. And that guy is here. But drinking next to him is a crowd of 20- and 30-somethings who respect his presence, even as they crank the music under dark chandelier-ish lighting and commiserate in the beer garden out back. If the scene in CoHi (Columbia Heights) is getting too raucous, this is a good alternative for a quiet tipple. It’s a stone’s throw south of the Metro station.
