Lonely Planet review

The Virginia Marine Science Museum is one of the top 10 most visited aquariums in the US. It describes itself, perhaps over-ambitiously, as an 'educational adventure', but it does have more than 300 hands-on exhibits, an otter habitat and an aviary as well a huge tank full sharks, rays and other big boys of the deep.

The Museum also runs dolphin-watching trips from June to October and whale-watching trips during winter.
