The Show is UP (Really!): Top 10 Moments of 2010
Blog: VEGAS HAPPENS HERE - 23 January 2011
OK, folks. We did it. The LVRocks studio is history, sadly, and we had to learn to podcast the old-fashioned way, at home with cheap equipment. So, seriously, we'd like some feedback on how this sounds. But, any which way, we got it 'er done and we're back in action. Enjoy! Also, there's a new poll and trivia question, too, and the clips from all of 10 top picks (as voted on by you) are available as stand-alone MP3s on TheStripPodcast.Com.

I probably don’t really need to tell you that beer makes things more fun. Parties…bowling…sitting/walking/standing… add a cold one and anything’s more of a party.

My Six-Point Cosmopolitan Overview, Finally
Blog: VEGAS HAPPENS HERE - 20 January 2011
OK. I've been lax at writing up some more general opinions of Cosmopolitan, so this post is past due. We stayed at the resort last week for Miles' birthday and I've had many meals there by now. Lots and lots has been written already, so I figured I'd provide some points I don't think have been mulled.

Blog: The Mexile - 20 January 2011
Moving back to the UK has its pros and cons. Moving anywhere to anywhere has its pros and cons of course. The UK offers greater money earning potential, providing I can find a job. I’m focusing on retail management and online community manager positions. Wish me luck. With greater earning potential comes the ability to [...]

A Little Travel Memory…Goodbye Ye Faithful Apostles
Blog: A Little Adrift - A RTW Travelogue - 20 January 2011
Travel Memories: Two of the 12 Apostles on the Great Ocean Road Pretty picture! I’ll admit, that mostly inspired this post. The ocean reminds of blown Murano glass in Venice , Italy and nature purposefully highlighted the scene with a sizable dose of redish-orange limestone (two colors opposite on the color-wheel and therefore complimentary :). My tour guide on the Great Ocean Road shared all kinds of facts and stories, with a handful of local lore thrown in for good measure, but it was this drive’s likeness to the another beautiful road ...

Paul’s: Bad sign, Great Burgers
Blog: Broke-Ass Stuart's Goddamn Website - 19 January 2011
Try if you can to ignore the use of “da” instead of “the” in the title of the restaurant, and open your ears (eyes?) to why Paul’s Da (ugh) Burger Joint is worth your precious burger-lovin’ time. Located on what I believe to be one of the most obnoxious corners in the city, for many years I passed right by [...] Related posts:Two Pop Burgers for 88 Cents!

Darcy Leads the Art Deco Tour in Miami
Blog: MuseumChick - 19 January 2011
After spending this New Year’s Eve in Nashville with my good friends, Mr. MuseumChick and I pondered, “well, we are half way to somewhere warm. Should our next stop be L.A. or Miami?” Our decision was based solely on weather predictions, “It’s going to be warmer in Miami- solved, so Miami it is”. That was [...]

On our first visit to Alaska three years ago, we never made it outside of Anchorage. In fact, we barely made it outside of downtown. Hey Williamsburg: What The Hell Is That Place?
Blog: Broke-Ass Stuart's Goddamn Website - 18 January 2011
Have you ever walked down the street in Williamsburg, for example, and been like: what the hell is that place? Those paper mache horses in the window and unwieldy name seem to indicate that it’s an art gallery, etc etc.

We Have Not Pod-Faded
Blog: VEGAS HAPPENS HERE - 18 January 2011
Got this Anonymous comment on another post today:Pretending that the podcast doesn't exist is not a classy way of closing it down or reducing it to an occasional ep whichever is the case. On the other hand, it is in the long tradition of commercial radio where one day there's suddenly music or a new guy where there used to be somebody else, and there's never a word of explanation. Now, really. Does anyone honestly think that I of all people would go gently into that good night without an explanation or announcement? Seriously?
