Never mind the minivans and cheesy tourist attractions – our 12-day trip across the western United States puts a whole new spin on ol’ America the Beautiful. Your family will breathe free in famous national parks (Zion & Bryce among them), stand in wonder at the Grand Canyon, and bunk at a cowboy camp. With a great mix of culture and activities, this is an ideal trip for families looking to see the USA in a new light.

Itinerary

Day 1 Las Vegas
Arrive at any time.
Days 2-3 Grand Canyon (1B, 1L, 2D)
This morning head for one of the USA's most famous attractions, the Grand Canyon. After driving there through beautiful scenery, take time to enjoy the view of the Canyon at sunset.Considered among nature's most spectacular offerings, the Grand Canyon provides spectacular opportunities for you to explore. Wander along a trail and feel the sunshine and wind on your face as you admire awe-inspiring views or sit and watch the changing play of light and shadows. On Day 3 enjoy a bird's eye view of the Grand Canyon with an optional helicopter flight or watch the most spectacular IMAX Adventure of all, the Grand Canyon Movie. If you prefer to stretch your legs, hike down into the canyon itself. Note: If you have pre booked the Grand Canyon Helicopter Ride you will enjoy your 45-50min ride over the canyon on either Day 2 or 3, this will be determined by your CEO.
Day 4 Monument Valley (1B, 1L, 1D)
After a free morning to explore the Grand Canyon further, head off for one of the most majestic places on earth, Monument Valley. Explore on a jeep tour to see the magnificent colors, miles of mesas, buttes and pinnacles make Monument Valley a truly wondrous experience. Explore this magical and sacred place by 4x4. In the evening, learn about the traditional way of life of the Navajo Indians in the wilderness.
Days 5-6 Moab (2B, 2L, 1D)
In the morning, drive to Moab. The landscape outside shitfs and changes colour along the drive. In the evening enjoy a gorgeous sunset at Dead Horse Point State Park before we continue to Moab. On Day 6, visit Arches National Park, carved and shaped by eons of weathering and erosion. It contains the world's largest concentration of natural stone arches. Explore the park's viewpoints and hike to sandstone fins, massive balanced rocks and soaring pinnacles.
Days 7-8 Antimony (2B, 2L, 2D)
Transfer to a cowboy ranch for the next couple of nights. The cowboy way of life is as much a part of this region of the USA as anything else, and this opportunity for the kids to learn all about how life in the wild west. Over the course of two days learn about archery, horseback riding, roping cattle and many other activities to impress your friends at home. In the evenings relax around the campfire and enjoy tasty, hearty food.
Day 9 Bryce Canyon National Park (1B, 1L, 1D)
Prepare yourself to be amazed as we take you to the heart of the American West! Witness isolated landscape of canyons, plateaus, and valleys as we travel on Scenic Byway 12, located in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Discover Capitol Reef National Park, filled with twisting canyons, massive domes, monoliths and spires of sandstone, which makes it a stunning, surreal adventure for everyone. Learn about the Fremont Culture, the first Native American settlers in this area as you view authentic petroglyphs. Driving through the amazing landscape of Grand Staircase Escalente National Monument we reach Bryce Canyon National Park. Experience this spectacular Park on trails among the amphitheaters and multi-colored rock pinnacles called "hoodoos".
Day 10 Zion National Park (1B, 1L, 1D)
Zion is Utah's oldest National Park. With endless hiking possibilities awaiting, the region that the Virgin River has sculpted into a profound landscape masterpiece is a great setting to spend the afternoon. High plateaus, striking towers, temples, mesas, and the earth's tallest-known sheer sandstone walls will surround you with their awe-inspiring beauty. The terrain runs from desert to forest, with a dramatic river canyon known as the Narrows. The weather and temperature in the area is just as diverse, reaching over 100 F (38 C) in the summer, while the higher elevations are often snow-capped during the winter months.
Day 11 Las Vegas (1B)
After a free morning to explore Zion in more detail, or simply relax for a while, we return to Las Vegas for the evening.
