Getting there & around
The traffic coming and going on Hwy 17 Business/Kings Hwy can be infuriating. To avoid ‘the Strand’ altogether, stay on Hwy 17 bypass, or take Hwy 31/Carolina Bays Parkway, which parallels Hwy 17 between Hwy 501 and Hwy 9.
Myrtle Beach International Airport (843-448-1589) is located within the city limits, as is the Greyhound (843-448-2472; 511 7th Ave N) station.
