Lonely Planet review for Hyman's

Yeah, it's a tourist trap, but the famous she-crab soup, po'boy sandwiches and crispy flounder at this massive downtown institution are worth the wait, especially at lunch when the lines are not quite so long.

    Tourist Trap

    kemcabee does not recommend this,

I am a local here in Charleston, and Hyman's is the biggest tourist trap in the city. Do not eat here if you want to experience the local charm and great seafood Charleston has to offer. The locals make fun of all the tourists walking around the city wearing a Hyman's button that says, "I ate at Hyman's," so if you don't want us to secretly make fun of you...do not eat here! haha.
