The Mills House Wyndham Grand Hotel
Lonely Planet review
This grand old dame (150 years young, merci) has had an $11-million facelift, and is now one of the most opulent choices in the area. Gilded elevators lead from an enormous marble lobby to 214 lushly upholstered rooms. The sun has still not set on the British Empire inside the clubby, wood-paneled Barbados Room restaurant.
Our independent authors have visited The Mills House Wyndham Grand Hotel and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Charleston.
