Varsity

Whadya Haf. Whadya Haf. Whadya Haf!!!
Never thought being in my home-state, my home city, my own block even that I wouldn't be able to understand the language. But at the varsity, it is so. Whadya haf! Or something that sounds like that is the Varsity's language for : "What would you like to eat?" And the place is so busy, so packed, and so quick it puts you in panic if you don't know "whadya haf!"

After the panic subsides however, you're sweeped into the world of Southern, greasy, and oddly great food. Hot dogs, cheeseburgers, a great orange drink that I don't know how to explain other than great orange drink, and many other combos brings people incessantly to the Varsity. (Not to mention great location in Atlanta, next to Georgia Tech, and a historical landmark in and of itself). 

The Varsity is a legend. It is the Varsity of fast-food, Southern style, and charm. Although not the 5 Star restaurant and the workers don't really speak proper English, I'd choose The Varsity over any Junior Varsity fast food restaurant such as McDonalds or Burger King. 

Whadya Haf?! --Varsity!

For several generations, Atlantans from all walks of life have gone to the Varsity. Don't expect a gourmet meal, but it's cheap and tasty, also a little greasy. The Varsity draws a diverse crowd, and long lines are common, especially when there's a big event in the downtown area - sporting events, conventions, etc. Part of the draw of the Varisty is learning the language. There's just something fun about ordering a naked dog walking. The views of the skyline are great, and the seating area is good for groups.

The Varsity is as much an entertainment destination as it is a restaurant.  The menu is basic:  burgers, hot dogs, fries and onion rings.  Not to be missed are the onion rings and a Frosted Orange drink.
