Hiking in Yosemite park in winter and pregnant

Hi !

I'm currently planning a one week trip to San Francisco with my husband from Feb 14-21. We would love to go hiking in yosemite national park for 1 night/ 2 days but not sure how much hiking we can actually get done in winter. I'll be 23 weeks pregnant so I'm restricted with some of th winter activities and would like to avoid icy trails if possible. Is this possible in winter? Is it still worth it?

If so, which budget accommodations would you recommend in the area? We will rent a car so…

Feedback on Alaska Itinerary in late May

My partner and I are planning a trip to Alaska in late May for about 10 days. We are most interested in being outdoors, and going hiking, kayaking (flat water), and seeing beautiful scenery (e.g. glaciers) and we plan to camp as much as possible. I have been doing lots of research but seem a bit overwhelmed with everything we want to do in such a short period of time. I would love any feedback on our (very rough) itinerary, particularly for the end of the trip.

DAY 1: Fly into Anchorage
DAY 2:…

Maine Coast drive

I'm planning a trip this July with my soon-to-be college grad daughter up the coast of Maine and then New Brunswick, PEI, and Cape Breton Island. It all begins w/ a family reunion in York. Coming from WA state so we plan to fly out (I've been told that Portland is the closest airport?) and rent a car. I've never been to the NE so any advice would be welcome! Looking for tips on inexpensive but clean lodgings (we DO NOT need amenities like TV), best roads (Hwy 1?), places to hike (we're fairly…
