Bus & tram

Bus

Eleven buses a day make the one-hour trip ($9) from the downtown Greyhound Bus Terminal (817-429-3089; www.greyhound.com; 901 Commerce St) to Dallas.

The Fort Worth Transit Authority (The T; 817-215-8600; www.the-t.com) runs bus 1 to the Stockyards and bus 2 to the Cultural District, departing from the Transfer Center at Jones and 9th Sts. The fare costs $1.50 one way.

Train

The Texas Eagle stops at the Amtrak Station (817-332-2931; www.amtrak.com; 1501 Jones St) en route to San Antonio or Chicago. Monday through Saturday the Trinity Railway Express (TRE; 817-215-8600; www.trinityrailwayexpress.com; T&P Station, 1600 Throckmorton St) connects downtown Fort Worth with downtown Dallas ($2.25, 1¼ hours).
