Getting there & around
El Paso International Airport (915-780-4749; www.elpasointernationalairport.com), 8 miles northeast of downtown off I-10, services 16American and two Mexican cities. Chain rental-car companies are on site (you really need a car here).
Amtrak’s Florida–California Sunset Limited stops at Union Depot (915-545-2247; www.amtrak.com; 700 San Francisco Ave). The Greyhound Bus Station (915-532-2365; www.greyhound.com; 200 W San Antonio St) sends coaches to Albuquerque, NM ($38, six to eight hours), daily.
Sun Metro (915-533-3333; www.sunmetro.org) runs two entertainment trolley routes (25¢) to transport folks around downtown and up to Cincinnati St.
