Lonely Planet review for La Duni Latin Café

Fried plantains topped with black beans and beef are just the beginning. All the dishes at this upmarket, modern eatery have a Spanish accent, if not a specific country of origin. La Duni blends European traditions with Latin American soul.

Why you should spend $15 on breakfast

    sppatty recommends this,

Sometimes when I'm paying my check at La Duni, I can't believe I just spent $15 on Gruyere and Ham scramble (and don't forget about that fantastic home-made english muffin or those amazing home fries, which normally I don't bother with but at La Duni can't ignore to save my life) and iced tea (hmmmm peachy mango unsweetened goodness). About five minutes later I wish my stomach could expand more so I could go eat it all over again. Friendly to almost any crowd (at least the one on Oak Lawn is), delicious no matter what you order, with fantastic baked goods, home made breads, and the best iced tea in town, La Duni is worth every penny. I'm embarrassed to admit it but this past winter I went for brunch four weekends in a row - it's just that good.

Now I'm a little hungry....PS: save room for dessert. I never do but when I look at the cakes on the way out, I always regret it.
