OK, so the Hampton Inn Dallas West End won't win any design awards, but while staying here you can hoof it the quickest to downtown museums and restaurants.

Sightseers take note: you can't stay anywhere closer than this to Dallas's John F. Kennedy sights. The 6th Floor Museum is two blocks away and the Conspiracy Museum is just a block further. The hotel's on the edge of the West End warehouse restaurant district and two blocks due south of the Dallas World Aquarium. You can really tell the building was constructed in 1968 - the steel structure has balconies on each room with doors that don't open, as per today's city safety standards. At least the black, camel and cream palette and round leather ottomans make rooms seem a tad bit more modern. The same boffo breakfast spread as at other Hamptons is served here. Ask the concierge, or log on to the computer in the lobby to help plan your day's outing.
