Lonely Planet review for Caffe Tazza

Tazza is more than just coffee drinks, Taos Cow hormone-free ice cream, healthy soups (go for the vegan green chile), homemade sandwiches, burritos and vegan desserts. This place packs its patio and cozy art-lined interior with crunchy-hipster Taoseños, who also participate in live music, open mics and readings.

    Nice location, but nasty coffee

    lizzybags does not recommend this,

Maybe we were just unlucky. The (barely civil) barista seemed to think that she was good because she had been doing it for a long time. I think not, so maybe it's time to go back to basics. Our lattes were lukewarm and watery. Perhaps I'm picky because I live in the Northwest, where I pay much less for a much better coffee (although I did get a pretty good cappuccino at Albuquerque airport).

The decor and the location are nice though. I suppose that with so many tourists around, this place doesn't need to worry about repeat business. (I didn't see any of those "crunchy-hipster Taosenos"!!)
